HIGHER GROUND FINANCIAL COACHING
Good Income. Not Much Built.
That Stays True Until You Change What You Do With It.
Most people who land on this page aren’t short on effort or income — they’re short on a system. The paycheck grows, the lifestyle quietly grows to match it, and what actually converts into assets that work for you stays flat, year after year. That’s not a personal failing. It’s just what happens without a plan directing income somewhere other than this month’s expenses.
Here’s the part worth being honest about: if nothing changes, nothing changes. Another year on the same pattern is another year of Wealth Capacity you didn’t build and compounding you don’t get back — not a neutral pause, an actual cost.
Before you spend a dollar, the Higher Ground Value Test looks at your specific numbers and tells you, honestly, whether there’s enough real opportunity here to justify changing course. If there is, you’re backed by the Higher Ground Implementation Commitment — see exactly what that means below.
5 minutes. See your number before you spend anything.
Take the Higher Ground Value Test
Hi, I’m Clifton.
I founded Higher Ground Financial Coaching in 2018, and if you work with me, I’m the one you’ll actually be talking to — not a rotating cast of coaches, not a support team standing in for me. Before this, I spent years as a finance director watching capable, hard-working people earn good money and still have almost nothing built from it — not because they weren’t smart enough, but because no one had ever built them a system.
That’s what I do now, using a guided-discovery approach: I’m not here to lecture you about a budget, I’m here to help you see what’s actually happening in your own numbers and build something that keeps working long after our 12 weeks end. That’s exactly why I stand behind every engagement with the commitment you’ll see next — it’s my word, not a company policy.
The Real Risk Was Never $1,500 or $5,000.
It’s another year of nothing changing. So here’s what happens if you invest the effort with us and still don’t get there.
The Higher Ground Implementation Commitment: show up, do the work with us, and put in the effort we agree on together — and you’ll leave your 12 weeks with a documented wealth-building system in place. If you don’t, we keep working with you until you do: a free seat in the next Summit Cohort, or continued private coaching at no additional cost, depending on which path you choose.
We don’t promise a specific dollar return, and we don’t promise the market will do anything. What we do promise is honesty before you spend anything: the Value Test looks at your real numbers first, and if the opportunity isn’t there, we tell you — no coaching required.
Higher Ground is financial coaching and education, not personalized investment, tax, or legal advice — Clifton is not a licensed financial advisor, and nothing here replaces one when your situation calls for it.
A System, Not a Lecture — and Numbers You Can Check.
Every engagement, Summit or private, runs on the same six-step process: Assess your real financial picture, identify the specific opportunities already sitting inside it, redirect that money toward your goals, automate it so it doesn’t depend on willpower, hold you accountable with weekly contact, and measure what actually changed.
That last part is what separates this from a lecture: we track it as Wealth Capacity, the amount you’re able to direct toward building wealth every year. Find $250 a month you can redirect and that’s $3,000 a year of new Wealth Capacity — a first-year value multiple of roughly 2× on the $1,500 Summit investment. Find $600 a month, and with no investment growth assumed at all, that’s roughly $100,000 in redirected capital in just under 14 years.
You’ll see it in real numbers at 30 days, 90 days, and a year in — Wealth Capacity, Realized Financial Value, and where you stand on the Waystations climb — not just a feeling that things are better.
